Ellie and Sarah set up NurtureBaby in 2018. We had both worked together at one of the largest children's centres in Devon and both knew we had the same values. We are not part of a franchise or a large company, but it was our desire to support, educate and nurture families through those first amazing (but challenging!) years that inspired us to create NurtureBaby.
Sarah has qualified teacher status and started her career as a reception class teacher. She is a qualified childcare assessor and has over 25 years working with early years children and their families. She has a real interest in children's communication and language and loves heuristic play.
Ellie has a degree in childhood and youth studies and many years of experience in working with children and families. She has worked as a family support worker and facilitated parenting courses as well as individual work with families and children. She has undertaken further study and training in the area of children's emotional development and this is a particular passion.
We are both first aid trained and have DBS clearance.
Our ethos is to nurture the bond between parent and baby, providing a supportive welcoming class that is fun, informative and relaxed. With over 30 years experience of working in the early years, our classes have been designed and planned with your baby's needs and development at the heart of everything we do. Furthermore, apart from our wonderful experiences for babies, a big part of what we do is look after you, as parents. We recognise that in order to be our best, we need to be cared for ourselves.
That's why when you come to a NurtureBaby class you will always be made to feel welcome, supported and included.
