TALKING NEWS & MORE
The Mid Devon Messenger was founded in 1983. We are run entirely by volunteer teams of readers, technicians, administrators and people with other specialist skills.
We offer a FREE service to anyone who regards Mid Devon as their community and who, for medical reasons, has difficulty reading. We provide weekly recordings of local news and information, plus interviews, entertainment, quizzes and more. We can also signpost you to friendly, fun and supportive groups and useful services, including a link to a talking book provider.
There are a number of ways you can listen to the Mid Devon Messenger. If you are blind or visually impaired, we can post recordings to you every week and provide you with a small, easy to use player. If you are sighted but unable to enjoy reading, we will help you to find alternative ways to receive and listen to the Mid Devon Messenger. We will visit you in your home to help you get up and running.
